Caroline Leonardson attended the Aveda Institute of Minneapolis in the fall of 2019. She graduated virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic in February 2020. Due to the pandemic, Caroline was not able to start working until August 2020. She began her career at an Aveda concept hair salon in Eau Claire, WI. After just a few months, Caroline decided that a hair salon was not the right fit for esthetic services due to the level of noise. To create a tranquil environment for her clients, Caroline rented a 120-square-foot studio space on Barstow Street - located within an eyelash extension studio. She opened Barstow Beauty Bar on November 23rd, 2020. Word of mouth spread around town quickly, and Caroline outgrew her studio. Caroline began to look for a larger location with onsite laundry and parking that would allow her to hire a team.
Caroline toured the old Mainstream Boutique clothing store with Sarah Genskow Neal of SMMG Photography. The two realized Mall Drive was the perfect place for Barstow Beauty Bar to grow. Caroline and Sarah spent many hours redoing the 1800 square feet of Mall Drive to ensure it was the exact vision and environment that Barstow Beauty Bar clients deserve. August 6th, 2021 - the doors opened to clients on Mall Drive.
Caroline’s dream is to keep the Barstow Beauty Bar team small, so clients can get to know their providers on a personal level. She is dedicated to ensuring her team loves to come to work and is always eager to grow and learn new things. Caroline hopes clients walk through the front door and are immersed in a warm and cozy environment.

Caroline's biggest passion is transforming eyebrows & helping clients achieve a lasting glow after every facial. Her favorite services to perform are the Brow Lamination Package & the Dermaplaning Facial (with a chemical peel add on) for an unbelievable glow. Caroline enjoys educating clients on the best makeup & skincare products for their specific needs.
In her free time, Caroline enjoys snuggling her Great Dane puppy, Beau, changing her hair color, & getting tattoos while traveling. She is a huge foodie - loves cooking, trying new restaurants, or enjoying a charcuterie board. If she's not sipping a honey lavender iced latte with oat milk at Shift - you will find her at the Firehouse playing darts with friends. Caroline loves supporting local businesses, as a small business owner herself.

Taylor is unbelievably talented with makeup application, custom color spray tans, & lash lifts + tints. From a client perspective - her favorite service to receive is the Barstow Luxury Package.
Taylor obtained BBAs in Accounting & Information Systems in May 2022 - she works for Leinenkugel's full time. She is also bilingual, loves going to yoga, eating chipotle, & making TikTok videos. She is always on the go, super helpful, & motivated.
